Thought this applied to the theme as daring. I often get coments from certain family members or random people about how artists don't make money in their lifetime, or some other such dig. As if the only reason I do it is for for fame and riches.. I think most artists will tell you that it's some sort of strange compulsion they can't supress.

exactly. we have to do what makes us happy, express ourselves in the way we are able. accountants have their numbers, doctors have their surgeries, we have paint and pencil! not a bad life. as long as you can still afford said paint and pencil!
