A blog about drawing and the creative process
Can't get into the IF site at the moment, they must be having technical dificulties...
Hehe, when does he think it will be his 'aged' time?IF have been having lots of problems this week ...
I know, when will you ever be ready for anything. I was at a diner function the other week when a lady sat down next to me and said "You look twelve!" Being 26, I found this offensive...I said, "Would you like me to return the insult" with a smile.I wanted to keep this entry open to interpretation but my original idea was to confront viewers with the idea of old age and being ready to die gracefully.
Great !!! His face, hands, the hump, nice concept and great illo.
Yes! Super cool!
wow! it's you in 50 yrs time.. love the big ears! :-)
Absolutely fun. The first thing I thought of was Robert Crumb. Great, strong linework. Super illustration.
I think I helped this guy at the Connex ticket machine the other day :). This at one end of the aging theme - that "12" comment is at the other. I really like your colour choices. What is that machine?
Glad you asked it's an illustration from a french manual for a device used to distil absinthe. I came across it on this site whilst doing a google search under the word ageing...http://www.oxygenee.com/absintheBOOKS4.htmlIt's a cool pic, I think the flatness of it helps it to blend into my illo.
How much time did it take you to create you comic?Monia, the owner of Sweet Drawing Blog
Tricky question. If I had all day I could probably do a page or two. Working in small chunks very night maybe 3-5 days per page. For single illustrations only and hour or so
