A surprise every day

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

What a surprise I didn’t draw this! Appropriation is the word I believe. Until next week :)

Although this advent calender is pretty boring, considering some others I've seen. Maybe next year...

Excellent idea to replace the cheap, nasty and uninteresting! Did it have the surprise of no chocolates ... or have you eaten them ?

Only one was missing when I bought it. But it was the only spiderman one left (I'm such a big kid!) these are the ones I've eaten. My daughter keeps trying to get mine if I don't eat it that day...
Next year I might do a homemade one.

Just got lost in your 'some others I've seen' links - plenty of ideas for homemade ones there! A solution re your daughter getting your chocolate is to buy or make another calendar and have one each };-}

We do have one each, that's the problem! :)

Hahahaaaa, Oh.

We had too many years of chocolate every day (and its energy properties) for the duration of Decembers so decided to share thereafter. This year most chocolates are being replaced with small toys, which will be easier when the calendar is hand made.

wow, I am so far from my roots that I have completly forgotten what the *hell* is an advent calender.
but seeing this thing with the little windows rings some sort of faraway bell within me.
my inklings about what an advent calender is sure don't fit with spiderman. but I am sure the world has moved on from my far away memories evoked.
is it a surprise, or have you already opened them all.
love scott

You can buy these advent calendars from supermarkets and larger stores. They come with a piece of chocolate behind the doors, one for each day.
Look what I got in the 11th box. Weird hey!? Wonder what'll be in there tomorrow?

I am convinced now that I most definitely had a deprived childhood, I have NEVER even run across Spiderman advent calendar!!! I am surprised they exist.
Thank you for your comment on my “surprise” entry and I wanted to let you know that I would love to send you a hand made Christmas card, though it may not arrive till July! That way you all will be having nice wintry, chilly weather to go with it! Good luck with keeping the kid away from your chocolates! Ha! As I say – do it early, do it often. If there is a chocolate – eat it! Now! Lily.

That's a great idea, Anthony! We never had advent calendars in our house...I don't know why because we were raised Catholic. Thanks for stopping by my blog to check on the northeastern US weather...baby, it's coooooolllllld outside!!!!! This morning it's a whoppping 11 degrees (fahrenheit). I'm still waiting to win the lottery so I can move to a sunnier clime... Take care:>
