The retro pin-up and strip joint culture has probably gained some glam credibility, this conveys it without losing some of the associated grittiness.

Great work. Reminds me of old billboards with layers and layers and years
worn down.

What girl wouldn't want to be that glamorous in this day and age!! Glamorous beyond the grittiness of glamour today :) Good choice of sweet but sour in arrangement and colour - with a dash of Listerine mouth freshener! Great!!

Yes spo on, I was going for the old wall/billboard look. Something I've been increasingly fascinated by recently. Thank you all for the great insightful comments :)

Hey Tones!
You are so talented!
Is this a continuation of your photocopying project?
Regardless, it looks so wonderfully textured.

Forgot to mention that I did this one entirely in photoshop with found web images and photos although I did scan one element in which was the ‘Glamour’ text which I turned pink. I think this one got around the 15 layer mark…
Dreck: Thanks for the props! No this is separate from the photocopy project. I’m doing more digital entries recently for IF so I can show something to students I will be teaching this year. But I’m actually getting a real kick out of doing it, and I’m very pleased with the results (esp this one!). In fact I’m so pleased I’m thinking of producing a portfolio of high quality giclee prints from my favorite digital IF entries, sometime in the coming months.

I love the layering and texture and the colors you chose. I like the image of glamour you portray...it makes me think of the girls who go to big cities to live a glamorous life as actresses and models only to end up doing something cheap and tawdry...sad instead. Great job, Anthony:>
