I like it! How long does the exhibition go? (Thinking of visiting Ballarat soon.)

If one brown bottle should accidentally fall. There would be two brown bottles sitting on the wall.

The bottles do put you on edge a bit. You kind of want to smash them just looking at them...
The first thing people ask is, "so wy the bottles" To which i have numorous answers. The first and foremost being "be cause I wanted to/ it felt right" If I think about it the are also some deeper reasons also, like I wanted people to change the way the look at the artwork. By putting the bottles there you're hopefully snapped back to the relaity of what's in front of you, or in other words I'm elevating the bottles and lowering the art to level them out. Also we drank beer at our late night art sessions and also I saw a link between a bottle as a container and art work as a container of something else. So if that doesn't statisfy your curiosity nothing will :)

I really like it - you're right about wanting to smash the beer bottles, I don't think I'd be able to resist.
My only question is; are you going to keep it this way after the exhibition or break it down into seperate artworks?

Not necessarily...I have the original sketch and photographs of the instalation. I think any work I exhibit in future will be in fragments or pieces. It's kind of like how a comic is made up of different panels I guess.
But it is an intersting question, the pices should work together and seperatly.
